We go beyond the traditional approach to therapy. Our unique programming may be just what you need, where you need it, with in home services and outpatient therapy housed within Majestic Pines.  Majestic Pines therapy treatments include physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology. The Majestic Pines Comprehensive Care Community is created with the commitment to keep you active and healthy. Keeping fit and participating in an active lifestyle benefits a person’s quality of life and has been proven to:

Aquatic Based Fitness & Therapy

Aquatic Based Fitness & Therapy provides an opportunity for people to relieve pain, increase motion, and move in ways that they are afraid to do on land.  Water allows a freedom of movement that reduces pain and supports the body for greater challenges and exercise that carry over to increased movement and independence on land.  Water based training has resulted in the following benefits:

  • Reduces pain and swelling by increasing circulation
  • Strengthens muscles and improves balance by slowing motion
  • Increases flexibility and range of motion

Membership

Memberships are available for both the Fitness Center and Warm Water Pool.  Therapy Services are not included but are available and provided under the direction of your doctor. Community members aged 50 years and older are also welcome to join our fitness and therapy center!

Our Community Fitness Center is open to the public!

Our facility is open Monday-Friday 7:00am-7:00pm, Saturdays 7:00am-3:00pm and 9:00am-3:00pm on Sundays (The pool is closed on Saturday & Sunday, but the gym is open.)

Weekly Fitness Classes and Open Swim Times:

  • Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program – Monday & Wednesday

This program is designed specifically for people with arthritis or related disease. The multiple components of this class can help reduce pain and stiffness, and help maintain or improve mobility, muscle strength and functional ability. (Gentle)

  • Strength & Balance – Tuesday & Thursday

This program is a balance, strength, and fall prevention program that has been developed, tested, and demonstrated to be most effective for reducing falls and fall related injuries among high risk individuals. (Gentle)

  • Zumba – Monday, Wednesday & Friday

Zumba fitness fuses international rhythms with easy-to-follow dance moves. It is a fun and effective fitness class that feels more like a night out dancing than a workout. (Moderate)

  • Arthritis Foundation Aquatic Exercise – Monday-Friday

Perfect class for those individuals wanting to start an exercise program. The class consists of basic strength, flexibility and range of motion exercises for overall workout. (Gentle)

  • Aqua core – Monday & Friday

Resistance training using core  stabilization exercises while in the water. The water is the perfect medium for improving dynamic balance, strength, agility and coordination. Aqua core provides a total body work out in the water to music. (Moderate)

  • Water Aerobics – Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday

This fast-paced class focuses on strength, flexibility and cardiovascular conditioning throughout the water to music. (moderate to vigorous)

  • Aqua Fit – Tuesday & Thursday

A mid-intensity cardio workout in the pool combining water aerobics with Pilate’s core conditioning principles. (Moderate)

  • Aqua Dance – Tuesday & Thursday

A fast-paced, choreographed, high energy but low impact exercise program in the water. Fun and energetic large based movements that will keep you moving to the beat of music. (Moderate to Vigorous)

  • Aqua PiYoChi – Tuesday, Thursday & Friday

This is a yoga class that focuses on flow of movements that includes Ai Chi, Pilates and yoga which works your balance, strength and flexibility, as well as the mind in creating fluid movement and control in the pool. (Gentle)

  • Yoga – Tuesday & Thursday

Building on skills from yoga, this intermediate class focuses on a series of exercises to improve strength, balance, and flexibility while sitting, standing, and laying on the floor. Participants must be able to safely get on and of the floor without assistance. (Gentle to Moderate)

  • Cross Training – Wednesday & Friday

This is a moderate class with a goal that keeps you moving no matter what level of fitness you feel you’re at. It will keep your body and mind busy with a variety of exercises involving hand and ankle weights, stability and medicine balls, as well as a variety of other tools to ensure a fun filled time. (Moderate to vigorous)

  • Open swim – Monday, Wednesday & Friday
